Owner + President / PE, CGC
Andrew Behrens is a licensed General Contractor and Professional Engineer with a strong foundation in civil and structural engineering. After graduating from Florida State University in 2012 with a degree in Civil Engineering, he began his career as a Field Engineer building high-rise apartments in Atlanta and Raleigh with Batson Cook. Before returning to Jacksonville, Andrew gained experience working with several structural engineering and design-build firms, further sharpening his technical expertise.
He earned his Florida General Contractors license before moving back to join the family business at JBL Construction and later received his Professional Engineering license in 2019. That same year, he launched Behrens Engineering to support the structural design needs of JBL Construction. In 2024, Andrew expanded the family’s vision by co-founding JBL Roofing with a trusted partner, bringing the same focus on trust, quality, and building science to roofing as he has to construction.
